And one has an egg custard base which we are not going to work with today. However, today we are only just going to stir mainly Condensed milk, cream and orange juice together.

How To Make Orange Ice Cream With Condensed Milk

So you will need some freshly squeezed orange juice for this recipe. Now, you can use whatever type of oranges you like. But today I am using a mandarin orange type just for its taste and for reference purpose.

The amount of orange you need depends on the quantity of ice cream you want to make. So, the quantity of the orange will decide how much juice you get.

Once you have gathered the oranges you need, cut them in halves and then squeeze the juice into a clean bowl. And you can easily do it by squeezing the oranges with your bare hands.

In addition, you may go for extractors. There are machines that will make it fast and easy for squeezing your oranges to get out the juice.

After that, run the orange juice through a clean strainer to get rid of all the pulp and seed in it. Then, go ahead and add a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice. I believe that a little bit of lemon juice just kind of do some enhancement to the flavor of the orange juice.

Also, if you like a vanilla flavor, then this is the right time to drop a few drops in. Note that you really do not have to add vanilla flavor because it is not essential. Next add some orange color in it and mix everything together very well.

After that, pour the condensed milk into the orange juice, use a whisk and whisk it well until they are well combined. Then pour the heavy cream in another bowl, whisk it with a hand held whisk machine until the cream is light and fluffy.

Finally, pour the orange juice mixed with condensed milk into the whipped cream. Then mix it until they are nicely combined. Pour the mixture in a clean container and freeze it for about 3 hours and your orange ice cream with condensed milk is ready.


If you let the orange ice cream with condensed milk chill like say overnight in the freezer. Then it will get really really hard. For that reason, all you will need to it is just take out the ice cream from the freezer.

And then, put it in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes before you serve it. What happens is that, whilst the ice cream is in the fridge, it gets a little soft and perfect for a good mouthfeel.
